Very good question. For me, setting up a compressor and spraying two bodies with ultra thin coats, leaving to dry for a few hours and going again, cleaning the gun between each pass and setting up again is more trouble than its worth. If I was going to spray half a dozen in one session I'd probably do that, but for the sake of time it's just easier to use the aerosol.

I agree Andrew setting up/cleaning the spray gun is a big process. Think I'll stay away from Tru oil spray sounds too thin. You can still get a smooth last coat with a rag, just got to be really thin the last few coats and use a good cloth

Yeah unfortunately I'm not a to zen master yet so spray cans seem to be getting the job done nicely.

A few update shots in the sunlight. This is with two coats of the spray oil.

Yeah the spray goes on super smooth but more satin than the wipe on method. Can you polish to?

Pabs, yeah it's poor man's binding.
Wokka. Probs won't get a chance to touch it til next week anyway. Interestingly, the spray cans recommended leaving it 48 hours before polishing. I wonder if the cans have a dryer in it?

    Hey Andrew,
with the thinner clear it might be fine to polish after 48 hours but I'd stay on the safe side and wait longer.
Whats the average maximum temp roughly where you are ?

probably above 40 degrees in your shed !
