On mine the 3x pup rings just fit, but it's custom order as you saw so will be worth checking how much clearance there is between the 2x pups on std kit.
I am using a P90 in a humbucker format for my middle pickup, a tonerider rebel90. It looks great with the row of screws in the middle!

Great minds think alike! I was originally planning to do an LP-1 kit, but just last weekend my husband and I purchased a Gibson LP. So wouldn't really compare haha

Yeah the black beauty for example has a very tight fit, looks about maybe 3-4mm of Face left between the pup cavities( with pups removed.)
Ooh nice choice of pups! I'm not sure what I'm going to run yet. Looking at the toneriders but possibly, if I can bring myself to do it, go EMG's 😍

Forgot to add, for switching I'm going to use a 6 way Freeway switch from Stewmac, will give me option to use each pickup individually or any combination of 2x pups.
I'm also using seymour duncan rings for the HB that will allow all wiring options, serial, parallel and single coil...
It's a bit crazy but it's not meant to be a performance guitar, more an experimental one!

Ooh very nice! I'm think either 3 way toggle with mini switch for on/off on mid pup. Or 5 way and running standard.

But they look so smick! I'm also thinking of going a full face scratch plate which I will have to buy a 2pup one and cut the middle as I haven't been able to find a 3 pup full face.

Hi Shazz, great to see you back in the forum, we all missed you mate.
The good thing with using a full face scratchplate is that you don't have to have the cleanest route... you could just remove the wood between the 2x pups and make a large 'swimming pool route' like they do on some strats
