Thanks. The old glory flag looks ok but not perfect. Watched a Queen documentary last night and Brian had a Ric with a full pickguard. So that's what I'm going to do. I ordered a blank sheet of 3 ply w/b/w and will have a go at cutting one. The pics don't show it but it is really shiny.

Well, I did it. I think she's beautiful (but I'm biased). The action was almost spot on without any adjustment. That Ric style bridge is a pig. Overall, I'm pretty damn chuffed.

Thought we got beat. Oh me of little faith. Woo, great day. The pickups are not the strongest but I have a recipe somewhere for a series/parallel setup a la Santana. Did it on an old Les Paul about 25 years ago. Sounded great. Hey, Simon, thanks for your words of wisdom at the start. I was all set to go off half cocked but I put the brakes on.

No, Scotland really upped their game in the second half.
We're all here to help Harry, and we're all still learning as we go along. You made the odd mistake, as we all do, but you sorted it all out and didn't get disheartened. And you've now got a really nice looking guitar. For me, Rics are never really about power, more about clean jangle. And if you need a bit more oomph, you could try using a boost pedal.
Looks AMAZING Harry. Who doesn't love a flame burst ricky? You've really done a fantastic job.
