Nice guitar Dicky! You must work for the standard measurements section if you still have a job at CSIRO. I thought the retrenched everyone else.

You will have to give some sound samples of those Allparts pickups too.

By trade I am a Toolmaker and is one reason why I wanted to do the Rick as it allows me a certain amount of creativity but I am about to be made redundant so this will be my last creative creation. But most guitars use standard parts which are easy to get off the shelf but I will in some time in the future set up a little workshop to allow me to do simple parts but not like the tailpiece.
So a bit like a cnc and milled from a single piece, I guess, either way it looks great, as does the rest

    Your Taxes at work ...lol

I operate an NC mill and engraver and it is how I made the Truss Rod Cover and Tailpiece.

I actually work in the largest workshop in CSIRO and we are about to be reduced from 20 down to 6. All work to be outsourced and only design will be done on site.

    Great looking guitar Dikkybee.

I might just back off on mine and think about entering in May as the quality of this bunch is sky high.

david.lee , that is a very sweet traditional looking Rikky. one of the things the judges think about is that if it was hanging up in a music store, would they go for it. with yours - hell yeah
