Clear coat on. Next is a wet sand with 1500 and perhaps another coat if needed. Then it can start to go together.

nice job Craig, well done, the join lines of the paint look nice and clean and the clear coat is coming up nice and glossy. Looks like one more thin clear coat should nail the finish !

Thanks wokka. The lines aren't perfect. I'm wondering if that's the difference between the $3 roll of yellow tape from Bunnings and the $12 roll of blue tape. Also there is a noticeable difference between the finish on the bits that I sprayed hanging vertically and the bits that the paint sat on top of. So Im considering a coat on each flat face where the paint will sit on it. Maybe a sand first

yeah spray painting on a flat surface seems to get better results than hanging it, much less runs

Am I on the right track? Can I screw the scratch plate and bridge down using the holes Wokka drilled during the mock up?

Shoota as long as the neck is screwed on. The shielding in and the wires soldered. Then put both E strings on and screw the bridge in place. Think we drilled two of the six Bridge holes
