Thread: August 2014 Guitar of the Month

Love the guitar Trevor. You've managed to create a really feminine look for the guitar without it being poxy. It still looks like an absolute classic.

Really impressive sense of style, IMHO.

Oh wow, some excellent builds here!
Trev, I'd play a Tele like that if I saw it in my local muso store!!!

Big thanks to our Judges, including Guest judge Gavin T, it was another very close competition with only a few points separating all five entries. No guitar scored below 8, which really speaks to the quality this month.

The Runner Up (by half of one point) for August is...

    Wokka's STA-1

"Oozes class. Should be handicapped to give others a fair go! Great colour contrasts and well thought out."

"Wow I love this, simple but beautiful. Nice job Wokka."

"Wokka's deep rich stain sets off the grain in the body beautifully. The deep reds are balanced perfectly by the red mirror scratchplate. Top class effort."

    And the winner is...

    Trevor's TL-1

"Simple elegant and a treasure indeed that will make for years of enjoyment."

"Simple, nicely finished with obvious love."

"Trevor's Tele is amazing. The colour is perfectly chosen, with a deep hue and sharp clean lines. The pearl scratchplate with the pearl binding, contrasting with the Chrome hardware, ties the whole look together. Very nice!"

"Lovely execution of the semi gloss look on the tele. Nice colour balance and outcome."

    Congratulations Trevor!

    Cheers,

    Adam
