Here's a couple of real "pearlers" that could only come from the mind of one the oddest (if not funniest) guitarists in the history of rock ... Nigel Tufnell (Spinal Tap) - fictional character turned real muso! ... and first (?) man to take his amp to 11!

Wait a minute ... that sounds like Rock and/or Roll!

SG-1 ... "Little Miss" finished in Flamenco Cherry Wudtone
TL-1A ... "Slugger" finished in Antique White Nitro
EX-1 ... "Metal God" finished in nickel-plate (work in progress)
ST-1A ... "Scrapper" stained and finished in linseed oil ... and with the "secret weapon"
GR-1SF ... "Rocker-billy" (just arrived, work in progress)

I am a little loathe to call this "ugly", as it's obviously the work of a well-meaning kiddie....

El thats impressive build for a kid, looks like they even strung it up with heavy to light gauge strings correctly. Not sure how much sound you would get out of it with a pickup cover and cardboard box amp ? Got to love the 2 screw 'bolt on' neck !
Will have to check with DB whether kids have to go to the naughty room for using solid paints !
    Current Builds and status

I love the custom cardboard amp, I wonder if he uses toilet paper rolls for tubes. Lol.

My cousin & I used to make "guitars" like that. I long piece of wood for the neck, body and headstock cut from a cardboard box (later upgraded to masonite). Then we would mime to whatever music was our favourite of the time. I also made cardboard microphones out of toilet rolls and old pairs of my mum's pantyhose.

My offering to this page of beauties... Not sure it really counts, but...

Was thinking of sanding it back and restaining with Wudtone, but didn't think it would bind to the plastic... BTW it does have 6 real strings and a dead flat neck .

Looks like something out of a '70's Gary Glitter "glam-rock" christmas special?

    (excellent pun, Maxaxe! )

All this talk of glam-rock reminded me of this little beauty. As played by Dave Hill of Slade.

Bassguy - I'm still trying to figure out what (shape) that Slade guitar is!

... and of course no "glam-rock" guitar collection would be truly complete without "Bjorn's baby" (yes THAT Bjorn - one of the "B"s in ABBA 8O ) ... maybe the ultimate "glam" guitar?

... probably completely unplayable unless you're wearing silver, 4-inch platform boots!
