Wot Stui said! Have a little faith in your abilities and just go for it!

One observation re your nice job on Wudtoneing, you will need to sand it off the neck heel otherwise the glue won't adhere

Just put the neck into the pocket and note how much will be exposed and then sand it back to bare wood. Go at it with some really rough ar#*d paper to create a good tooth....

There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....

What would be the easiest and cheapest way to hold the neck in place??? I'll see what I can do in terms of shaping

    Hey Pest,

The easiest way for you to hold the neck would be to use your trusty clamp and a sturdy workbench.

Put some padding on the bench top ( not too thick, or the neck will move around) to protect the frets, then get hold of a fret saw and go for it!

The other alternative is to talk to one of the woodwork teachers at school, they should be willing to help you out... I hope!

Yeah, but the cutaway is seriously hard... Short fast movements with the brush vertically is tricky...

So last night I did some more sanding (the cutaway is the tricky part!!!), and an idea struck me like lightning!!! If I sand the sides back a bit, and on the corners, it gives the appearance of binding with a bevel on the front, and a worn look on the sides!!!

If I do go ahead with the shaping, this will be tricky to get on the curves...
Personally, I think it looks great even with the stock headstock, but I'll probably shape it anyway!

at the 4D workshop myself and Popeye just keep asking the question "what would Dingo say" and I reckon he would say keep sanding and brushing the glue off bro !

I wouldn't use timbermate until you are sure you can match the colour. What colour are the cutaway and side going to be Pest ?
