Yep, Chet Atkins is a highly regarded musician, he's done stuff with Les Paul.

So I have restrung the guitar with the strings going under the secondary roller 😝 And for those with hawk eyes who saw the G string tuner slightly out I have fixed that also 😁

So how's she sounding now that you've re-strung the guitar that way?, she should be sounding good, I'm guessing the trem may be working better too.

Umm actually can't notice a great deal of difference haha the actual trem action feels the same... Weird

I guess the main thing is that it is working as it's supposed to.

It's an archtop guitar so it is more forgiving on the string angle over the bridge. If it was a flat top guitar you would need the strings to go under the retainer bar.
