    a white pick guard would give the tuxedo look, but the black one is hardly visible so I'd leave it off.

    A pick guard adds nothing cosmetically and the Firebird pick guards are really just cosmetic.

    A bit of an update, had a few weeks to settle and ive been able to have a few jamb sessions and its quickly becoming a favorite to play.
    The sustain is for ever it just keeps ringing and the gretsch pickups sound a treat even though they are there cheaper ones
