    no worries Pabs, be careful when you drill out the tuner holes, I usually drill in reverse slowly going up from small bits to 9.5mm

    Already done. I use a round needle file, it's a bit less brutal than a drill bit.

    Change of mind. Heading in a fairly different direction now.

    I really like the shade of green I had, but it just didn't suit this guitar for whatever reason and it wasn't sitting well with me. Flicking through google image search and I found this image.

    Love at first sight. (BTW, apparently this is a converted SG standard)

    So, this is one of my favourite combos. Black and tortoise. My first build (TL-1) was done like this and I got rid of that a while back, I think I'm ready to tackle the nightmare that is black paint again (talk to me again in a week or so...).


    3 coats of primer down, sanded between each one and we are ready to move on to colour.

    wow nice choice Pabs, I remember your black and tortoise tele won an early GOTM. Nice job on the primer looks nice and flat. Will you go a gloss clear ?
