Probably quite true, the exercise was more about eliminating clutter on the face. It's getting a three way switch and a single volume knob. The buried jack was part of that drive.

Cheers Deddy, It's going to be a while getting the mounting plate done, but it seems to be going well.

A little more progress and a bit of a mock build happening
Need to do some rewiring work but my proof of concept Perspex pick up plate works! I'm going to pop four screws into it to hold it in place and then I need to get some covers sorted.

I love that shape of the grain in the body. Perhaps I missed it but what are you going to do as a finish?

And here's my first attempt at cutting a nut. I imagine this will be rubbish but hey, you have a bash anyway right?

Hey Kick, I'm finishing this one in dingo tone clear on the body, with the interior sprayed flat black. Neck will be a dingo tone clear neck Finish kit as well.

@Drummerdude, Thanks mate that's what i was shooting for.
@OliSam, Thanks, i never realised how intricate cutting a nut actually is. On review of the photo on a big screen i reckon i still have some work to do on the G string slot, it'll be a while till it gets used in anger so I reckon it should be okay.
