I can't wait to hear how it sounds, the Rickenbackers are my favorite looking basses and you've pulled that finish off superbly.

Replacement 3 way switch arrived and fitted, all being well should have some time to get a sound demo recorded tomorrow. Sansan, the action is great, 2.5mm at 12th fret with no buzz. I put the strings on that came with the kit just for set up purposes, but with the Rick bridge the E string is not long enough but now it's finished I'll put the new set on. Hows your's coming?

I did replace the stock bridge with the Hipshot rickenbacker bridge, and the mock build reveals some little high action, so i have to carve out 2 mm on the body. Have to check again..

    Thanks Dave.
I got round to loading a demo in the sound thread earlier, iPhone recording doesn't really do it justice though :-)

    Dude, the finish looks amazing.

You mentioned Rattle cans for the clear coat, what exactly did you use?

Please let us know. And thanks!

    Great job Pumpy.
I am in the early stages of my own RCA build so keeping a close eye on what others are doing with them.
I think they look great in black but I already have a black guitar and bass so want to do something different with mine.
The carbon fibre finish was a brilliant idea.
It is both inspiring and intimidating to see what great work is done within this community :-)
