I think even with the bush taken into consideration there should still be shitloads of height adjustment . Just looking at the Bladecatcher, it's actually wound up a fair bit on the bridge so the 6mm cavity will give more than enough adjustment in both directions.

yeah sounds good Barge. If you are only using one router bit how did you route the 6mm deep bridge cavity ? Use a thicker template ?
thats presuming the bearing is ontop of the bit.
Tune in folks the Barge and Woks show is currently airing

I just stuck some risers down first, double laminated 6mm cardboard under the template seem to work sweet. I had to use it on the pup routs too as Pab's acrylic template is probably half the thickness of my ply templates.

Spent a few hours on the grinder+sander and carved the arch into the top, not real good light in the pics but once some colour goes on it should stand out a bit more.

Looking good Barge. So you got the control cavity to route? Look forward to some stain to see the carves more clearly

nice one Barge you got the cavity and recess templates made. Is that plywood with some laminate cover on it ?
The tele coverplate on the back should look cool.
Hopefully the final weight will be ok. I don't mind a slightly heavier axe always feels good

It's a marine ply apparently, my buddy uses it to make PA speaker boxes and gave me a heap of offcuts, so yeah it's some form of weather proof coating.
    Tele coverplate?
The weights actually fine now that I've carved a heap off the top, not sure of the exact weight but it wouldn't be any heavier than one of the mahogany LP bodies.

Cavity's cleaned out ready for routing, no turning back now.
