Yes, should go through the 2000 mark in February.....

Since I get EVERY post on the forum delivered to my e-mail / i-pad since volunteering my services as moderator and more specifically troubleshooter / helper / fixer / luthier! I do tend to post far too many times on the forum. But I enjoy it and it keeps me up with what is developing and the builds that folk need help on. 'Labour of love' but it's a great appreciative community and I share Ad's and DB's vision for the business being about reigniting the love of guitar building amongst the public. You certainly embody this as a success story as does young Pest and the other youngsters and not so youngsters who regularly post on the forum.

Nice sentiments Gav, and for what it's worth, this Forum is so much richer for your invaluable input. I just wish I had more time to turn some of your threads into printed manuals...
    Cheers,

Thanks Adam, much appreciated. I'm working on the printed manual idea......reckon we could get some interest on a manual to assist with the various builds?

Yeah a seperation manual can really help some first timers, I remember the LP was a tad challenging... We can even have some for input on it!

Alright, here's the plan. This coffee table I am building at school must be different from the standard old table in at least three ways. One of which I have already planned is to house a DIY amp inside! The head will be the Lamington amp, which was briefly discussed on this thread, and I am planning on having two Celstion Eight 15 speakers!

Overall I have about 20 weeks total to finish the project, and I think it will be a lot of fun...

Looking forward to regular updates on this one Pest 8-).
As for the speakers, if you give starlight music in Footscray a ring, I reckon you will be able to negotiate a better price from them - they stock celestion and also sell on EBay... I saved myself a good $15 on the one I got from them. (From memory, I don't think you would live too far away from them, they are on the corner of Rosamond Rd and Ballarat Rds. A lovely pair of young ladies run it.)
    Projects:

    TL1-A
    LP-1Completed
    TL-1Completed
    Yamaha rebuild: Completed
    Mako -Scratch designed: Completed
    PUP winder: Completed

Yeah I was going to give them a call later, they seem to be the only people in Melbs who have Celestions!

Quick question for anyone here, the amp head is 15W, can I run two 15W speakers or should I just have the one head using one speaker?
