Did you find a solution for the tuners?[/quote]
@ Stan yes the tuner issues I have got the stock tuners from MIDNIGHT floating around so am looking at dowelling holes and redrilling to suit them.
One hand it is a shame but on the other as mentioned I am not a fan of the Elephant ear style tuners so they may have been given the heave-ho anyways

Well this has been a long time in the making.
First work took over then the burst turned sour
Then I lost total interest in the poor thing
Tried to fix the burst but to no avail.
More lack of interest the bass was feeling no love.
Finally decided that put it all down to a learn experience and finish her.
    Have left it all stock.
Still got a bit more to do to button her up.
Have got all the wiring done and some sounds .
She don't look pretty but she got a sweet sound

I don't know Tim. I think I like how it looks. I know the burst hasn't turned out how you wanted. But it has it's own kind of class, sort of like one of those "zoot suit" SGs

Hey Tim, I reckon that looks really cool. Yeah, there's some issues with the burst transition, but it still works. I know a few Aboriginal musicians who would really dig this.
    Cheers,

I think you might have set a precedent with this burst, sure it's not traditional but at the end of the day it still works, I love it!
