Underarm wasn't against the laws of the game at the time but certainly not within the spirit, that anomaly was rectified rather rapidly after that unfortunate event.

The hardtail bridge arrrived today, though body mount. Not bad for 6 bucks, although the chrome is a bit so so! Just chucked it on for the photo.
Spoke to Adam and ended up ordering an Entwistle XS62m which is a high power single coil pickup for strats for the middle position, I think it might be a good match for the tonerider overwound Tele pickups, and Grover tuners too.

Now I'm rethinking the colour, I'm tempted to to an oak to mahogany sunburst, but my original plan was seafoam, a nice early hot-rod colour which would suit the 50s vibe. Planning on staining the neck with tea to make it look a little more aged, then High gloss clear with a satin back for the neck.
Still unsure about relicing, I think it might look great but unless I really mess something up I'm pretty confident I could have a good go at factory fresh....

Ha! I have seen seafoam get a good kicking on here elsewhere, guess I should paint it that colour for that reason alone!

Very sorry but seafoam needs a good kicking. I was painting that colour on house walls in the 80's and i still have nightmares!

Certainly a divisive colour on here, but it'd be boring if we all liked the same thing. I like it on F style guitars.
