Been a busy few days here, just popped the pickups and clear scratch guard on this. Loving the look of it.

That scratch plate is a sweet look. I love the artwork on this, it’s definitely something special.

Thanks everyone! I love the texture of the finish under the clearcoat too, it feels really cool to handle.
The clear plate arrived in no time, so I couldn't resist putting it on. It is an oem fender one, and interestingly the pickups must be slightly different sizes as the curved holes for the pickup mount were slightly too far apart, so I had to ease them with a small round file. Hoping I can get away with no shielding around the pickups to save the finish, guess I'll know when I plug it in!

Such a cool paint job. How'd they get the circles so perfect?

They use the blunt end of a paintbrush with artist acrylic paint. Dip it in and then dob on the artwork. It's a whole lot harder than it sounds!
They also use an old toothbrush to stipple the paint across the surface for the speckle effect.
    Great, eh?

I'm blown away, that doesn't sound easy at all. Especially with how consistent the pattern is, and the different sized dots.
    It's truly meticulous work.

Wow that was a bit of a crazy rush at the end! We have a school trip heading up to MVC this morning, so last night I put in a late one getting it all good to go. Everything except the strap and strap locks is here, I'll send the strap up next week, I have ordered a purple one to match. The amp is going with it, my peavey basic 50w, a good practice amp for the school.
It's been great seeing this come to fruition, I'd like to thank Adam again for gifting the kit. The kids up there have some good music gear, and they treat it well so I'm confident this will see a lot of use.
