We had those coffee mugs as well back in the day.
Love the finish, guitar looks sweet

Looking good! Yeah the toneriders often require a cavity adjustment. Good catch.
cheers,

Hi Dedman, bit late to catch onto this thread and hope you had a great Birthday.
Looking good so far and presume final colour will something different to the primer grey? Although, the grey does look pretty good and definitely something different.
You have probably shaped the pickguard and in the past I have just used sandpaper as a they flex too much when using files or anything else.
Also got a 4 way switch for mine as apparently there is an alternative wiring that can be done. If not wanting to google how to do that you can still use it as a 3 way.

just shot the last coat of primer. Top coats this afternoon. it's going to be basic white.
first coat of colour is on. Going to leave this for a couple of days before sanding and adding more coats. I can't move onto clear coats until the heastock decal arrives anyway, so no point in rushing

So this morning I get up at the crack of dawn, run around get all my real world work done, pack customer orders ,go to the PO, get new tyres fitted to the car, buy paint for my next kit and get home before 10. Drag all the painting gear out put fresh filter in my mask and mix the paint, I look up and here is the neighbours lawn guy unloading his truck. Good thing I had the respirator on or he may have come at me with his weed eater after what I called him. Anyway still managed to get the last coats of colour on this afternoon. Got a nice finish straight off the gun, can see myself in it. Will be shame to sand it a little before the clear goes on. Got word my decals are done and will be posted tomorrow, so hopefully clear coats end of this week or early next week. The correct 3 way switch is travelling with my next kit and a neck for a scratch built so they should arrive next week too.![]()
