I'm really liking the colour of the finish on the body and neck, should look great when finished.
Thanks guys. I was a bit 'iffy about the colour at first but the TO has now added a nice warmth to it.

Wow Andrew, that is really looking good. Just bought some TO that arrived today and wondering how long between coats to get where you are at in these photos?
Cheers, Waz
Hey Woks, Would love to join up for the Beer Geek Taste Test but not too keen on the 5 and a bit hour flight. Maybe a Capital City Road Tour should be organised so that we can all meet up and have some foreign brews whilst talking gibberish about our GAS conditions.
Man that grains looking great under that stain. I'm not a Jr fan but this could persuade me

Hey Waz, it all depends on the weather. At a minimum 24hrs in warm/non humid conditions. 48hrs plus when humid. I found if I cut this short and you steel wool between coats the steel wool will muck up the surface. And, don't follow the bottle instructions.. From memory according to them you can put on a coat every 2-3 hours (maybe ok for a small gunstock). One other tip is very very thin coats. To give you an idea my rag is approx 4x4 cm. This is completely damped in TO (not sopping wet) and it's enough to cover the front, sides and most of the back (on this guitar body). Your first couple of coats will be heavier as the wood will absorb a lot, than after about coat 4 the magic starts to happen!

And just to add I seem to find overworking the TO is a no no. To give you an idea I can do a coat in a couple of minutes - in a manner like wiping a table down quickly, ie. round and around a bit then along the grain, never going back over previous wiping to patch up. Once over and done!
You'll find your own grove after a while using it.

Thanks Andrew, really appreciate your advice.
The neck and the body become one. No dramas, all lined up nicely
In a couple of days final finishing. I also picked up a can of white knight clear acrylic as topcoat to the headstock face only once decal applied.
