All done and making noise \m/. Pups are nice and loud although with the way I've done the wiring the bridge and neck-bridge combo are quieter than neck alone by quite a bit. Tempted to replace push-pull pots and go with standard wiring, might wait and get used to it first. Had to reverse the D string saddle to get intonation right and the Tusq nut had one groove lower than the others so needed to sort that as well.
Some of my timber joins show up, but I think that just means I need to get more practice and do another one (anyone smell GAS?)
Also the pup rings needed to be changed as the ones that came with the pups were just a fraction too small to cover the ends of the routs. Mounted the tuners at an angle for something a bit different and made the all important truss rod cover.
To wrap up, parts list: ESP-1 Kit, EMG pickups, Wilkinson tuners, Tusq nut, black hardware (kit came with chrome), push-pull pots, knurled knobs. Think that's about it.
Taking pics of something dark, flat and shiny and not getting your reflection in it takes a bit of mucking around, matt black would've been easier. Had a few goes and these are the best ones.
