finally got some work done on this build on the weekend. Cleaned up the binding and sanded the top. Got a coat of golden rod and it really bounces the grain in the cap.

couple more pics of the mock build. Thinking about trying a Babicz bridge on this build. I got a Kent Armstrong mini humbucker for the bridge pup.
That is filler I need to sand in the cut-aways.
I need some ideas what colour to stain the back/sides ? DB suggested black.

with that binding and black hardware, DB is correct, go black, or very dark stain

Hi Bruce, cheers. Not sure what the veneer timber is, it has a slight red colour to it.
