The tail of two Sun Yellow. The stick in front of the guitar is coatd on both ends with two different Sun Yellows.
The LH yellow is translucent the RH yellow is a solid colour. I would prefer to be using an Opaque Yellw. but the RH Yellow is very close to TV-Yellow which is the colour I want.

    Cheers PK

Oh Yeah and this 'Supposed" Mahogany body is a very pale colour for Mahogany. I suspect it is something else.
Just means I won't buy another Kit from Sonor Music... :P

I've finished applying Sanding Sealer. I used Feast Watson SS. as It's what I have used effectivly in the past, that and couldn't find any other brands of Sealer in the Shed. Well there was a 10 Litre drum of Bondall sealer at the green shed.
I've used 10mm Dowel with a little masking tape on it to fill the Machine head holes to keep excess paint out. I did the same with the bridge posts and used 8mm dowel for the control holes.

Hoping to apply TV-Yellow this arvo. but still in two minds about this Rust-Oleum stuff as I really do not know what's in it. I might revist Paint SPot for something else, that's maybe a little less toxic.

    Cheers PK

Just discovered why the deck on this guitar seemed pale...... It's a laminate. No idea what the laminate is but looks very much like Ash. The body is three piece mahogany though.

Hi Fretworn, yeah I tried the paint on stuff, and wasn't happy, so went for the spray on stuff after sanding off the paint on goo. The paint on was a lot darker and came out lumpy. The spray on is pretty close to TV-Yelloow. SO I am pretty happy with it.
Next task is to make a template for the headstock. Not exactly sure how I'll go about it. But I am sure I'll sort it. I've got some images ofa gibson headstock, so I might try printing one then fold it in half before I cut it out. that way it's more likely to come out symetrical.
