Thread: TLA-1 "Plus" (First Build, FINISHED)

Gloss is curing. Already touch dry.

I am really happy with how the front of the face turned out, the way it is darker than the "faces" of the guitar and how rough it looks because of uneven staining I think is a really cool effect. Almost non-wood like.

looks great Ihasmario, getting a nice gloss, so is this the gloss/top coat on the neck kit you are applying ?

It's the top coat from a wudtone neck finishing kit, yes.

I'm not really sure where the scratches came from, they look like machine marks but they only appeared overnight. I leave my stuff outside overnight so, something could have happened, or as you say I could have somehow missed them but to be honest I think I over sanded if anything.

The area of the machine marks is probably going to be covered or less visible later

    Thanks guys,
I've got my holes marked out on my neck now, drilled about 1mm in so I don't need to do the measurements again. Then I need to go get the correct sized drill bits (or a driver bit) and black screws.

Now I am waiting on some of my extra hardware to arrive (blank control plate, black neck plate, and my top load bridge) so it could be a while.

pilot hole too small. Don't no a reliable way to fix that one as every time you put a screw in (even after a glue fill) it will always try and split again
