Looks great! And if it plays well too, that's a bonus!
35 coats of wipe-on, you're more patient than me. I think 24 is my PB! Good on ya.
So when's the next one start?![]()
Making the world a better place; one guitar at a time...
Haha! It was hard, trust me. I am thinking of possibly resurrecting an old bass I have lying around that's seen better days. And then I think a tele is on the cards.. I can't wait!

Thanks guys! I am really happy with it!
I wanted to wait untill it was finished before I splurged out on upgrading the pickups / pots etc and I think I might go ahead with it now.
What are the people's opinion on the toneriders? Look to be pretty decent and affordable.
Also, upgrading pots and wiring? Worth doing?
Thanks
Mitch

This looks super! Great job.
A couple questions:
Did you apply colour to those pickup covers and knobs or did you get them in a cream? They look to be white in your earlier mock build posts.
How did you put that R on the neck plate?
I've got a strat kit sitting about that I need to start at some point and like your attention to detail. It's the little things that make a difference.
Thanks! I sprayed the pup covers, knobs and pickguard. Can't remember the exact colour but finished with a few coats of clear. So far so good, paint is holding up really well. The bright white didn't really fit in with my colour scheme and I think it makes a huge difference.
I took the neck plate in to my local engraving place. Got him to draw it up and it was done on a laser. Cost about $20 aud.
Cheers
