I assume you haven't had the problem I have just encountered. Wired mine up only to find the pickup cables are too short to reach the pots. Not sure if I have been sent the wrong pickups. Did your fit okay?

Heya Chaz, I had to extend 1 end of a hot lead to reach. Did you do a cardboard template? I marked the holes and measured before any snipping happened

by DBs rules this is how you make a guitar:

get body and neck, sand until you think it's done, then do it again, 5 times
ensure the neck has no frets
glue neck to body, titebond, if one day the big green shed stocks it, don't get it from there...
add very thin coats of dingotone, let cure
    cure longer
    wait, nearly ready...
    done

    add hardware, nothing by hipshot...

    use no other products, enjoy

However, the mere mention of any of the big sheds will almost guarantee banishment......

The twenty seven terabyte list of sins is availble for veiwing in the NW.....
Aish! If the sin list is running to 27 TB then I'm guilty of something. Possibly many things. Probably many things.

Oh bummer you can extend the ends by tinning and putting shrink wrap over the joint?!

Yes, I have just ordered some more wire. Have you fitted the machine heads yet? I found the screws to be quite long and care was needed when pre drilling the holes. Also the screws are quite week. Already one head sheered off with very little pressure applied. Now I have to drill out the screw shaft.

Yeah I had some trouble with the fixing screws. 2 heads threaded quite quickly, but I don't think I pre drilled the holes enough. So I just got some other screws. 2 of the heads may have snapped off... But it kinda looks cool and is still fixing them down properly :/

Hey Shazz and Chaz,. are you guys lubricating the screw? I don't know whats best but I have a candle in my tool kit and ALWAYS give the threads a good waxing before I screw them in. Might help.
