If so, I would go and talk to them. Nothing is ever a problem and they will never put a freeze on your account that you wont be able to make go away through one simple phone call..
And you wont be talking to some one in Mumbai or Singapore, all their help desk folk are here in Oz.
We do all our banking with Bendigo, they are the Biz!
With my debit/eftpos/hole in the wall card they told me to hit credit when using it for eftpos so I wont have to pay a fee.
How many banks would tell you that??!

There may be a Bendigo Branch here in Darwin, if I see one I might go in and make some inquiries.

Hi DB, not such good advice from your bank as I work in a retail environment where the EFTPOS machine is hardwired to add-on 1.50% merchant fee for Visa & MasterCard once credit has been selected. The only way to avoid merchant fees is to select Cheque or Savings as that bypasses the credit card interchange.

    Cheers, Waz.

Hi Doc, 41 pages deep......must be doing this as a thesis for a Phd at Darwin University I suspect???

At this rate you will out do ShazRandom for page numbers but maybe not for the amount of views.

How good does CG look in the flesh. Time to be a bit patient from here otherwise you could risk stuffing things up as most of my issues came to the surface after about 3rd intensifier coat.

I have ironed out the issues with MKII..... I think
Well, lets say I pushed it pretty well to the limit on my test bed and so far so good.
After the third coat of intensifyer I scuff sanded with 320 to level out any gribblies and to remove the odd cat and Dingo hair, then applied two fairly heavy coats of final which I let cure for a week before scuff sanding that back with 800.
Then I applied one very thin final coat which is as smooth as a babies bum..
When I checked it today I noticed a few spots I missed so I will give the body a light scuff with steel wool and apply another thin coat.
(Will post some pics tomoz before I apply it)

There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....

The Credit Union I'm with has been the same.... select Credit, and you don't get charged $1 for each EFTPOS transaction. There are some merchants, usually with a higher sale price at the checkout, who do charge that extra percent fee, though I don't come across them too often.

And, Doc, good that you've got your other guitars there, so you can let the CG slowly dry.

With merchant fee surcharges not all retail outlets set the same threshold before it kicks in. For example tap n go is up to $100 at supermarkets, at places like DB's not so favourite BGSFOS, and so forth. Once you trip the 'floor limit' merchant fees can be applied and sometimes without warning. Best to select Chq or Savings to be on the safe side.

Maybe Bendigo absorb this for their customers which is pretty rare for any financial institution as they are heavily reliant on fee based income to drive bottom line profits. CBA, NAB, ANZ, Westpac and others could not post such record profits with out passing on all the various fees and charges hence why they do it and don't give a damn.

Right about now is where I'd feel like using some colourful language, but as this forum is family oriented I will have to restrain myself.

    yeah Doc that sucks.

Surely the bank can sort you out with a temporary solution while they get your new card out which as you say could be 2 weeks away.

If NAB say you will have to wait for the new card I'd go to Bendigo as DB suggested and close your NAB account !

Consumers get jerked around too much by banks and they don't understand the inconvenience
