Yep, as Sonic Mountain said, Marrara is one of the Suburbs in Darwin, there's a small venue there called the Pints Club where they have the First Sunday Blues jams, been there a few times, anyway, not counting last Saturday and Sunday, the parcel is at least 5 days overdue on the delivery, it's now 12:52pm and apparently the Depot, where my parcel was being held, schedule parcel deliveries from 6:00am till about 1:00pm, the parcel still hasn't been delivered to my flat yet so it's looking like the person who's supposed to be delivering it can't find my address, might have to call the Depot and see if I can arrange to pick up the parcel in person, but might have to do that tomorrow cause I may be getting a visitor.

    Update:

Just rang the Depot and they said that the parcel should be delivered by 5:00pm this afternoon, the time now is 4:46pm, so far no sign of it.

There's about Au$300.00 worth of guitar parts inside the parcel.

    Update 2:

    Time is 5:03pm.....still nothing.

So that's four failed delivery attempts so far.

Ah, that sucks. Hope you get it tomorrow; there’s nothing worse than waiting on a parcel you know is just up the road

Last time I phoned them up I was put on hold for just over half an hour, only to be told that the parcel was due to be delivered by 5:00pm, it's now 6:30pm and I just decided to try ringing them again and they've put me on hold.....again.

While I'm on hold they're telling me all about all their you-beaut delivery options, and I'm sitting here thinking to myself ""So how come my parcel still hasn't been delivered?".

The lady who answered my phone told me that they couldn't deliver my parcel because they couldn't find my address, she said that they use Google Earth to find addresses, I asked her if it was possible to pick up the parcel myself from the Depot, she said I could, then I asked her what the Depot's address was so I knew where to go, she couldn't tell me what it was but suggested that I could pick up the parcel at a newsagents in Leanyer, or I could pick it up at the Darwin airport....yeah I know.

So, it's basically going to be a case of wait all night till the next day for possibly the same run-around, I think I need to send an email to people at The Stratosphere, where I bought the parts from, and tell them that I have not received all the stuff I ordered because UPS can't find my address, might do that tonight.

You should lob around with a white stick and a pair of dark sunglasses.

Bad news indeed Doc, very frustrating, we have a few couriers like this in the UK, but luckily enough a couple of good ones too, if I order anything online I try to use suppliers that deliver by the couriers I know are ok, even if it costs a little more

I'm going to leave it till tomorrow and see if I can get it all sorted out then, for the time being I'm done with it.

Just been doing some internet research about any options I may have to get the problems with the delivery of my parcel resolved, and I've found that if worse comes to worse, I could lodge a complaint with the Commonwealth Ombudsman, since he can handle cases involving postal services, but, I might leave that as a last resort if all else fails.

    Update:

I just called Toll Express Parcels (they are the Depot where my parcel is being held in Darwin) to arrange a pickup of my parcel and they are supposed to be sending me an sms text message with the pickup address some time today (will believe that when it actually happens), so hopefully we'll get better results today.
