Ok, you've done it... I love reading all your topics but I found myself wondering what all these strange words meant. So I added a Slang Aussie Dictionary to my Favourites so I now know what 'arvo' means
And the CNC is awesome!

cheers Kick, yeah arvo is an old aussie slang word. So the first body cut went really well. I did most of the body blank needed flattening so I manually did that with a flush cutter. Then the program did the hard work and just had to vacuum all the wood chips off. Here is the progress

here's how it looks with a spare tele neck. Was a pretty exciting day to see how it unfolds. The cutting bit is a bit old and still routes perfect cavities. Jarrod sent me a faster feeding programso I'll time how long it takes to cut the tele I'm doing for him tomoz

that looks awesome Wokka, the cnc machinery certainly takes a lot of the human error out of the equation as long as the gear is okay and the program is correct. I have been running a large cnc plasma/oxy profile cutter for bluescope for nearly eight years, basically the same thing on a bigger scale but for steel rather than wood. Did about eighteen months programming it using cad and win steel/ win nest, just gone back to running the machine a couple of weeks ago, prefer to be hands on than chained to a desk. Once you get the hang of the programming you will be amazed at the things they can do. There will be no stopping you, by the look of things the bed is long enough to build necks on as well.
cheers DK, thanks for the background info. Yes it's long enough for necks and I even got some holding jigs for necks and some nice timber thrown in !

Just soooo good. Can it do round and bevelled edges as well?
That Tele body looks nice Wokka, do you reckon you'll try building some custom Teles soon mate?, I just recently found a new all maple Tele neck in my bedroom wardrobe, it is branded Andoer and was apparently made in China, I wouldn't mind using it to build a custom Tele, maybe something with two humbuckers on it just to be different.
@ Simon it can do bevelled edges but Jarrod hasn't programmed that, he used a hand held router with suitable bit. It can do arched tops and necks but the 3D programming is much more complicated and slower
@ Doc it will be a while before I learn to program it but Jarrod is still going to give me some more programs so I'll see if he has a double humbucker tele program. I am happy to cut you one when I'm ready. If he hasn't got one he could probably knock up a program pretty easily

No worries mate, I'm not in a hurry for it so that's okay, that would be cool if you could do that, let me know how much I'll owe you for the body and I'll get it sorted out when we come to it, I could measure the neck-heel dimensions of the Andoer Tele neck for you if need be cause I recently found my Digital Vernier Caliper, cheers.
