    what a cool lap steel Bruce, you got me motivated to build one ! It could also double up as a chopping board !

    where did you get the control plate with the angled switch slot ? You going just the single bridge pup and hence won't need a switch ?

    Telemonster double scale tele - finish tobacco burst on body and sand neck

    Yep my wife says it's a pizza paddle :-)
    The control panel came from www.tone-guard.com, I actually picked it up from my local guitar shop Jacks music in Lambtom.
    The whole project started as a cheap way to use the parts I didn't use in my TL-1 project.
    I was going to put two pickups in, but I've got the shits with it ATM and I'm just trying to get it to the finish line.
    If I put a switch in it , I can have an 'off' position, I've got it on my Tele and I really like it.
    I think I'll put light coloured wood strips in for the frets .... Maybe

    I love Art Deco and I love this too . . .
    It even has a vaguely Goth feel about it? A la a cathedral entrance?
    Far too good for the kitchen my man.

    haha bit of a trouser fail hey DK haha

    I showed pics to my 4D buddy Popeye and he wants to build one too.

    Probably off to the timber yard Friday to get some light and dark timber and start building one !
