Some more piccies. Tru Oil slowly building up...
I'll let this cure for a few days then glue the neck in. Then finish off the final coats.
The white patch on the side is the flash/reflection from camera...

thats coming along really nicely Ponch, how many naughty oil coats you applied ? remember one month in the naughty warehouse per coat haha
is that a Sydney Swans scarf I saw in one pic ? that will be handy for an oil rag for the mower and whipper snipper !
EDIT were the photos taken just after a coat ? its looking pretty shiny !

12 months in the NW, so what sort of beer do you want on arrival or will you be at the NSW NW branch ? don't forget DB has webcams and a bloody loud PA speaker system if you are doing anything wrong !
Think the Swannies scarf would make a better mower oil rag mate or to check the oil on the Kwaka is probably burning a bit of oil by now !
12 coats should be enough for wet sanding and polishing. See how the neck join looks after gluing it I spose.

Anything dark and from Belgium! Almost used the scarf as a rag last weekend when I changed the mower oil just couldn't bring myself to do it. Some folk would use it instead of all my stored Costco toilet roll lol

nice taste Ponch, dark beers from Belgium in my special beer geek part of the bar are Westvleteren 12 (retails here minimum $50 for a 330ml stubbie as it's so rare), St Bernadus 12 and a Rochefort 10, we can do a taste off, sound ok ?
Send the Swannies scarf to me I have no problem destroying it or Ads being a keen WCE supporter will kindly ruin it ! hahah

the answer Woks is 24.96
- And it would probably be more cost effective if you just mailed me the Westvleteren.
Tony
haha nice one Tony, is that answer from an old advert asking "what is the square root of 623" ?
If you know how good and rare Westvleteren 12 is you are welcome to join the NW beer geek tasting mate !
between you, me and Ponch we are doing a nice thread jack ! haha
