    Ok back from work earlier than i thought so i made some progress. Got the maple veneer on and routed a radius on . Was gonna go with binding but i chipped the edge of the veneer so radius it is.

    wow Jarrod that veneer looks amazing, sounds like the veneer cost alot more than the kit ! love the mods to control cover, this should be a superb looking axe, can't wait to see it stained !

    That quilt looks truly 3D and should be stunning whatever finish you choose.
    I rather like the bevelled edging too.
