My only query is what do i do if I need to deepen the string slots?

The idea of a height adjustable nut is good....but just worried that I may defeat that purpose by having to hack into the nut to drop the string height at the first fret.

I think i will buy a blank of graphtech or TUSQ nut material...that is close to the original size and file and measure the string gaps myself.

Can't seem to find a Bass Guitar nut template...have found a number of six string ones...will keep looking.

Best to use the nut being replaced as a template.
