When I'm quiet at work I tend to have a lot of time to trawl the internet for bargains...
That brings me to this one, straight out of 1977, it's an original Fender hardtail strat in... Believe it or not, Olympic White!
I poped the neck and pickguard off after I got it to confirm and everything matches, neck date is December 77, pots are all 77 with untouched solder joints. The pickups are all grey bottom 77's and it's got the factory 5-way switch (first year for this being standard)
It's not heavy either, 70's strats have a reputation for being boat anchors but this one is really nice, it's bright and spanky as you'd expect a strat to be but doesn't get too shrill when you pile on the distortion. She's got an interesting, but unable to verify backstory as well.
