    Thanks Stan! I couldn't let it go, although you should have seen it! The finish and stain were rock solid, lumpy and crazed..... I didn't think it would come off without ruining it completely.
    Hoping to get a really nice shine on it, and the couple of flaws in it will add character!

    Ok so today I just did a quick mock up of the parts. The pickup mounts and control cover I laser cut from cast acrylic at work. Humbuckers are cheapies from eBay, but they look well made and have reasonable magnets.
    Still a week or two before I can polish it and start assembly.

    Yeah mate, thats moving along nicely now. I like the oversize PUP Rings and how it all ties together in a really simple form with the bridge. Nice and clean, interesting looking PUPs too. Nice work!

    For such a large control cover the knobs and switch are very close. Have you thought about spreading them out more?
