Here we go, here's the schematic diagram for the D.I.Y. A/B Box with the added LED Indicators:

I've arranged things so that the power to the LED indicators is disconnected by unplugging the lead from the input socket.

I might see if I can add the LEDs to my A/B Box build, that was a great idea Stan....cheers mate.

I built an active one a while ago with LED's - instructions are here: http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/...ab-switch-box/. That said, Dr - your one looks like a whole lot less moving parts and straightforward. May give it a crack in a small enclosure.

Cheers, let me know what you think once you've finished your build, I was trying to keep the design as simple as possible so that it was really easy to build for those members new to building pedals, sometimes simple designs can be very effective.

Just checked out your build diary and your design looks pretty cool too, there's probably lots of different ways you could design an A/B Box.

I used a 3PDT Metal Footswitch in my build, I tend to use a lot of them in my pedal builds since I've had very few fail on me, they've been very reliable.

I just found another design for an A/B Box which I drew on a sheet of A4 paper, I almost forgot it existed, the design is a bit more elaborate compared to the first design I posted, would you guys be interested in me posting a pic of the wiring diagram along with a schematic?

Yep, it has LEDs included, the design is a bit different to the first one, I'll draw up the schematic first and then post a pic of both the wiring-diagram and the schematic so stay tuned.

Here we go, here's the schematic and wiring diagram for the more elaborate AB Box:

    First here's the schematic:

    And here's the wiring diagram:

With this design you can switch between two different FX pedals, or, you can bypass them completely so that they are out of your signal-chain.
