Nice work, Pumpy... Im also building an RCA-4. My body had relatively very little glue spots etc... I was greatly impressed.. It's amazing how each of these kits, in the hands of different builders, all start the same, and end up so unique!

Starting to look the business Pumpy! Keep at it mate, the whole carbon fibre effect thing would be challenging but pretty cool if you continued it up that loooooong as neck and maybe terminate it as a reversed stinger into the back of the head

OK, bit of an update with my build. Managed to get the base satin coat the finish I wanted. It took a few coats and rub downs which I sort of expected using rattle cans but got there in the end. I eventually decided to go for the carbon look all over and this is where I am now. Really happy with how it turned out, just need a few coats of clear and then a good polish.

wow that's a cool an original idea Pumpy, did you spray the same black with the mesh to get the carbon fibre effect or is it a lighter colour ?

Is that shelf liner you have used as a stencil? Great idea. That carbon fibre effect is looking good.

Thanks guys, I used a Tungsten colour over the non slip shelf liner. It was a bit difficult to gauge coverage and it came out a bit heavier in places so I went over it with the black (very lightly) to tone it down which seemed to even it all out.
Just need to explain to my wife why one of the white towels now has a carbon effect :-)
