Thanks mate. There are another three pallets of the gear left as well. I got 8 of those boards for $5 so if turns out to be firewood, no dramas, but will probably get a few more bits.

Just picked up another 15 boards so I'm wooded out for the time being. Should I plane the boards and cut to a body length and dry them that way or leave them as is?
Hey Andrew, wow you did go hard. I'd probably store them as they are, a longer piece will be easier to see if it has warped. You may be lucky and they end up making great guitar bodies. For $5/board think its worth a shot !
Whats the rough dimensions of a board ?

Yeah well if it turns out to be good wood, awesome score, and if it's rubbish, then $20 well spent to practice shaping bodies and necks. They are 950x45x45
that would be 950 x 450 wide x 45 thick ? each board you will get 2 bodies out of !
mate even if they do warp you can make an axe to mount on a bar or a wall mate !

Sorry mate, my bad measuring. 145 wide
ah ok so 3 boards should make 2 bodies then, or you may be able to cut one board in half and 2.5 boards should be enough for 2 bodies.
as an exercise I'd sand off some nice grain and wipe it with turps and take a photo, always keen to see how the grain looks !

Yeah will do mate. Routing the neck pup cavity for the tele then I'll jump on it
First pic is the size of the boards, the other two are planed, super quick sand with 180 and a wipe with turps. Hoping dB comes along and let's me know what he thinks of these trees.
