Nice kit, nice work.
Can you PM me the deets of where you get your veneers from and their cost? Got something special planned and might go ahead and veneer it![]()

cheers Eshays. I got the veneers from a Tasmanian furniture shop, they were at the Perth woodshow early August but you can order online. I got a mixed bag of veeners about 20 of them all different sizes for $150, very good value

How do you go about gluing the veneer at the trussrod end of the headstock with the curve Wokks?
cheers Gav, yeah pretty happy with the results so far. Bit more blending and it should look sweet

Hey Barge, the veneer is only about 1mm thick so it bends quite easily. I clamp a block over the glued veneer and place the block just before the curve so there's enough pressure on the curved part for the glue to work

Wokka, sorry to derail into more veneer chat, but if the veneer is so thin, how do you prevent it from getting bubbles underneath the surface, especially on curved or large surfaces?
And if something goes wrong, how do you take it off?
Eshays the veneer is thick enough to not have any bubbling issues.
If something goes wrong you have to sand it off and start again
