LOL. Thanks guys. I must admit I was waiting for Adam to start the thread. Given your last 2 entries Wokka, and given the quality of the current builds in the forum, I certainly wouldn't be calling it just yet!! All you guys with fantastic builds on the way?? *build slower* haha!

    cheers,
    Gav.

Gav I'd go in if my curing wasn't going to take over a month :P looks like the Surfcaster will be an October entry!

    Great job on the RC.

Top work Gav, great to see the second incarnation come up so well. Total package looks great, well done mate.

All too often a redo only echos what could have been the first time around - in this case - it lives up to it and more

Gav. It is fantastic to see this axe come to fruition. Through all the ups, downs, problems, fails, successes and dramas you've had with this it is brilliant to see your machine breathe.

Thanks guys. At one stage I had all but given up on it. Brings a smile to my face every time I pick it up.

    cheers,
    Gav.

"Enter your finished guitar here to be judged for Pit Bull Guitars July Guitar of the Month."

Here's my submission. I've just finished this Pitbull SV1L kit. These kits are a great canvas to work from. As a lefty I like to build rigs that are a little different from the rest. I liked the idea of a cobra carved into the slinky JEM body to go with the great vine inlay on the rosewood fretboard. The headstock and neck are stained to match and give it a whole serpentine feel. Stain is via a Kiwi tan boot polish rubbed well into the timber and polished with a good bit of elbow grease that leaves a nice satin sheen. Not conventional but has a great result. I hope you like it.
    Matt
