    Thanks for the encouragement everyone.

@Dingobass what would you suggest? I am looking for a deep gloss finish.
I've tried spray on acrylic lacquer cans for high gloss mirror finish, but you will need 3-4 cans. I also tried wipe on poly to get a high gloss finish as well. You can check out tru-oil. I think a few of the guys here are experts on it (robin, DanMade, wokkaboy, gavinturner).

@Brenden thanks for the heads up on the builds, I will have a look through them over the next couple of days.

I've probably missed a couple - Simon above has mentioned a couple more who've had stunning builds - problem is that mention one name and you've missed out on quite a few great others .

Simon - wasn't meaning you - I'd put a couple of names together and then you add some more with equally stunning builds!

Wow! First coat of stain on body, really happy.
    Much darker in real life.

Coming together as planned so far.

WOW first stain coat looks excellent Denis, what stain is it ? Sounds like it will be a similar colour scheme to Budi's LP-1 build.
Look forward to seeing after the back/sides have a mahogany stain

That's one coat? It already looks balanced and smooth. This is going to look fantastic.

@Wok the stain is from a local paint supplier. Taspaints and is a spirit based stain so use metho for thinners etc. the colour scheme is pretty traditional for LPs other than a cherry sunburst.
