    I'm with Weirdy on this one. Tortoise shell for the scratch plate and the pup surrounds!

    There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....

    Yer maybe a loud scratchplate may bring out its best features but up to your tastes.

    Sounds good to me! Has yours still got its frets?

    The fretboard on this one was sensational. Set up to do the fret job, did all the markings, gave the fret a soft run with the block and it was done! Reckon some one at the factory must have known what they were doing!
    My Riccy also had an excellent fretboard. Misy have been a good batch.
