Thread: Els IB-7; the Deadly Sinner.

  1. #11
I'll be watching this one with great interest as I wait for my own IB to arrive. Only 6 strings for me. I have enough trouble making the right noise with that without adding another layer of complexity to the situation.

Sanded to 240 grit. Nothing to do now but wait until payday and order the Hot Auburn...

looking good Bass Guy, so does this model just have the pickup toggle switch and a volume control - no tone ?

That's not a long strip of glue on the front is it or is it the grain not taking the hot auburn on the front left side ?

Yep, just toggle and volume. Should be a breeze to wire up.

Believe it or else, that's the grain! It looks great in the flesh, but I did do a few double takes when it came up like this...

yer ok, sure, you must be happy with the result. The neck looks a bit wider to accomodate the 7 strings, should look orsome complete
What suburb do you live in Bass Guy ? Would you be able to spare me an hour to show me slap bass techniques when my PBH is complete ?

I'm in Lesmurdie, but I can travel. Happy to show you what (little) I know. Also happy to get my hands on your bass!

sounds great Bass Guy, I'm happy to come see you, I'm in Willetton. My bass is in cherry flamenco starting to darken from the carmine colour. Goes well with the red tortise shell scratch plate. As soon as I bolt together the 3rd strat tonight/tomorrow I'll be focusing on the PBH, so we'll hook up a time/day next week or 2 !
What I saw on your JB video you are a very talented bass player. I haven't played much bass but am keen to learn some slap and other techniques like chords etc
