With only three entrants, scores were very even, but I'll only announce the winner who was:
Matthew's JBA-4. Glossy overall guitar and great outcome.

Even though it was only a field of three, it was pretty serious competition - and all basses! And congratulations to the winner - it really looks great!
Brendan - unfortunately, the low resolution of the photos that the forum supports didn't do justice to the grain on the body. It's ash, and not grain filled. It's also not sprayed. It was finished by hand using Wudtone - so just waxes and oils. In real life, the grain texture provides a nice visual effect.
Woohoo! Thanks for the useful critique and great feedback. This is great encouragement going into my next build which will start in December.
Well done to the other entries too - they both look amazing. And it was great to see a field of all basses!
basstastic! Well done folks.
