I've discussed this elsewhere. PRS Private Stock guitars are one of a kind, master built guitars pretty much catering to collectors only. Top of the line everything, best of the best. Do they represent value for money? Hell no. But, they are unique and very exclusive.

You know what bro, if I had money coming out my a-hole I'd probably buy that guitar, just because I could. But I just can't see $17,000 worth of guitar there, but hey, I'm no expert either.
I bet you could get someone like DB to build a fair close replica for a fraction of that price.

Really? I wouldn't touch one. Chances are, I'd put a ding in it in about 2 minutes. :P I don't see why a 59 Les Paul is worth $100k either. To me guitars are tools. Damn sexy tools, but tools none the less.

Orr hell yeah man, I'd own it in a hearbeat. Like I was just saying to Kimball, there's people in the world that are lucky enough to have unlimited cash and this is the sort of thing they buy. If I had unlimited cash I'd blow it on ridiculously overpriced guitars too, just because I could.
And it would be all dinged up within a week too:P

It's already there, mate. I put that sucker up about a year ago. Probably the most beautiful guitar I have ever seen.
