Too much squirrel distraction.
Damn Squirrels!

On the other hand, it could be Secret Squirrel's evil twin-brother of no-relation twice-removed, he's a pretty devious fellow I tell you, how evil can a Squirrel get?....non more evil....hahahaha.....he could be Moriarty in disguise....you never know, I think one of his henchmen is hiding in my flat somewhere cause things go missing and I can never find them, that probably also explains why I have so many odd socks, I never knew Squirrels would have a penchant for stealing socks, I wonder what they do with them?....hmmmmmm.
No socks are subject to localised laundry wormholes. 2 go in the wash and only one comes out. Somewhere in the universe an alien being is removing a blockage from their washing machine and saying "Another one of these weird little fabric bags?! Where do they come from?"

Well, I took the clamps off it and did some clean up and this is what we have arrived at:

Do not adjust your screens, there was a slight shift to one side in the clamping.

I'm quite happy with how the scarf joint turned out, there is still some fine tuning work to do with it, not to mention the clamping jig, though I have some ideas for that as well.

More of the scarf joint:

And an illustration of the wee bit of misalignment that we managed to engineer in:
Whether or not this joint is actually any good is going to be an interesting question. The misalignment is not severe, and it is intended to be a an inline offset head anyway, a la Jackson/Ibanez so I think it is probably worth the time to try and work it through to its final form just to see how it turns out.
If I string it up on something and it blows apart under tension, then so be it. But along the way it can be useful as an experiment in fretting and also inlay and neck finishing, so why not?
Next exercise is going to be routing the truss rod channel, and getting it roughed out.

The madness continues:
So we had some fun in the FrankenLab with the palm router, a couple of little whoopsies, mainly due to the flexible nature of the router's edge guide. Due to the protruding "ears" we had to finish the wider section of the top of the channel with some avant grade use of a brad point drill and some careful work with a miniature Japanese back saw.
Tips for young players:
1. MAKE SURE YOUR NECK BLANK STARTS SQUARE AND STAYS SQUARE!
2. If you have to attach 'ears" to widen the headstock, do it AFTER you rout the TR Channel.
3. 6 1.5mm cuts are better than 3 x 3mm cuts.
Hopefully this is of use to someone or at the very least amusing to those more experienced builders.
