After sitting over night at full tension the action is very close to perfect. Just needs to tweak the neck and get rid of a little buzz. Gonna give it a bit of a set up tonight and get everything wired in.

sounds good Pablo. Sure it will play well once the neck is set in and bridge/nut/truss rod adjustments are made

Massively pissed right now. After almost 2 months waiting I finally got my pickguard blank today. Within 15 minutes it was cut and bevelled. I was happy.
Then I pulled up the masking to reveal dirty brown streaks through the material. Not on top, actually cast into the material. Not happy anymore.

bummer Pabs that really sucks, especially after the long 2 month wait.
Hope you rip into the supplier and tell them to send a few free blanks on express post !

That's cruel. Looks like the marks are pretty much full thickness in the white too, so no chance to shave a bit off to clean it up. Return/refund prospects?

Oh yeah, I'm about to let them know exactly how I feel about the situation. There is enough of the blank left to do another one, but that side is even worse. Crappy quality that I paid a premium for because I needed the extra size.
