Gut feeling - if it was to take the GR, it would also take the DO... Maybe sand lightly and replace with some more DO? Like the concept though - with a bit of gloss it will be hot!

Pest I think you have to sand back the edge of the dark onyx so you get a smoother edge and so more golden rod will be visible, the blend width looks too narrow, so I'd sand back part of the dark onyx edge so it lightens up then you will get a smoother blend of the GR/DO.Quote from keloooe on May 22, 2013, 06:19
So, after letting the coat cure a bit overnight, there is a massive amount of cleanliness in the Dark Onyx!!!! There is still some work to do on it, but it is looking awesome!!!
Now, in the third pic, there is some Goldenrod on top of the Dark Onyx, will a rub of steel wool do the trick???
You have chosen 2 colours which are near the opposite of the colour spectrum which makes it harder to get a smooth blend, so you have thrown yourself in the deep end bro.
Looks like you have applied the DO in a circular fashion on the edges. You should be wiping the rag parallel to the edge of the body to get a smooth edge.
Try some 400 or 600 paper then finish the sanding with steel wool, but be careful to only sand the edge of the DO and the thin blend line and no need to sand any of the pure GR on the edge. Hope this makes sense, good luck cuz !
