I'll second what Dedman says about sending parts to China, Ianpoet, it's way too risky to do that, DB is awesome, and I have had nothing but excellent customer service from Adam and all the staff at Pitbull Guitars.

Heard lots of horror stories from people who have dealt with those Chibson Guitar companies from China.

Can understand why someone may want to consider a Chibson wannabe lookalike but seriously there are many better options out there.

Not wanting thread hijack or promote any particular supplier but around 12 months ago I bought a Slash Epiphone Les Paul for $199 delivered and the build quality straight of the box had me questioning myself about even considering attempting any kits. Mind you, not all Epi's are good and same goes for Gibbo's as you can pick up half a dozen in any given store and they will all be slightly different and the sound/tonal difference between Epi & Gibbo is noticeable, hence why one carries a higher price tag.

Why build a kit? You get the opportunity to customise hardware, PUP's, wiring and also colour schemes plus the bodies and necks come pre made. Only jobs too do are sanding, shaping a headstock, add stain or paint finish, and bolt a neck on, or you could have a crack at doing a set neck.

Plenty of help and advice freely flowing on this forum to help anybody with whatever skill base to get a decent job done.

The added satisfaction once finished is priceless.
