Hey Doc, I will be aiming for Christmas/New Years whilst I have a break from work. If not done by then shouldn't be long after. I'm still applying the finish coat so def not at gluing yet. I will be doing the electronics first as I have to go through the neck pocket to install the wiring etc .
Yeah I'm looking forward to the challenge but not so much the frustration that will be involved!
I will be keeping an eye on your progress. I am varnishing the front of mine and the wiring is next. The colour on your guitar is absolutely phenomenal. Great work....
Thanks Dekka! I'm a little nervous about the wiring! I don't want to stuff it up. Thinking of getting some braided and shielded cable from our local electronics shop. Just need to watch expenses. I think I will stick with the current pups and pots and switch and hope it works a treat![]()

Hi shazz I got a my braided wire here:

hope this helps!
I hadn't soldered much before but found the PBG videos really helpful especially the intro to soldering.
Hi shazz, from all the reading I have done it seems that the braided shield s a must. I got mine from Amazon as I am UK based but I think that stew mac sells it. The braided shield will avoid unwanted noises really.
I think I am going to go back to the PBG videos a few more time as well before I get started.
